Ab Initio Unit: Alimentación y consumo de bebidas

This unit is simple to connect to working places, commands in Spanish, international mindedness through different types of food, recipes, etc.
An activity that is fun and works fine for this unit is the usage of realia to represent a play or a role-play in restaurants, grocery stores, etc.
Is also great to practice interactive oral skills with your students having them have conversations, dialogues centered in this topic.

ab Initio Resources: Comida y bebida

In these posts I am planning on compiling all resources I use/have for each topic, apart from my units.

It is just a matter of organization, most of these resources are not even mine or produced by me but still, I do use them in my classes. Just looking to have everything in one place for easier access.

Spanish B Unit: Tabúes

This unit embraces what I consider among best practices. Students will explore controversial topics and will have the opportunity to discuss with their peers about intercultural issues we all face nowadays.

What you'll find:

- Essential questions to develop your students critical thinking skills
- Reading comprehension resources and assessments
- Interactive online games to learn and practice vocabulary
- A video to bring up a controversial topic to your class to break the ice and start passionate conversations about taboos
- Classic games like Taboo, nothing better to go through Taboos as the proper game (printable)
